Return Policy
- If you are not satisfied with a Stein Mart purchase, return it
with a valid receipt within 30 days. Depending on your method of
payment, we will refund the purchase price via a cash refund, an
eCredit or a credit to your charge card.
- After 30 days, you can return a Stein Mart purchase accompanied
by a valid receipt for the current selling price. Depending on your
method of payment, you will receive an exchange, credit, or
refund.
- There is a 10-day waiting period for any refund on purchases
made with a check.
- If you do not have a receipt, we will issue you an ecredit for
the current selling price.
- For your protection, valid identification is required with any
return not accompanied by a receipt.
- Price adjustments will not apply on clearance merchandise.
Stein Mart reserves the right to deny a refund on any
merchandise.

- I paid with a check. How do I make a return?
There is a 10-day waiting period for all purchases made by check.
After 10 days, but within 30 days of the purchase date, you can
receive a cash refund if you present a valid receipt and a current
driver's license.
- Can Stein Mart credit my charge account?
Absolutely! Just bring your credit card and a valid receipt and we
will credit your account immediately. Returns made within 30 days
are credited at full purchase price; after that, an adjustment may
be made to reflect the current selling price.
- I received a gift and I don't have a receipt.
Generally, we can help you make an alternative selection if the
item you are returning is still in stock and in new condition. Or
if you prefer, we may issue an ecredit after verifying your valid
ID. When purchasing a gift, ask for a gift receipt.
