FAQs

It is a fast, free way to receive items purchased on SteinMart.com. You can now pick up eligible items ordered online at a Stein Mart store near you.

It’s easy to find items eligible for in-store pick up! Just check the “Available near you” filter when browsing items. Once you’ve found your item, select the “FREE PICK UP IN-STORE” option, and add the item to your shopping bag. You can also select in-store pickup from the Shopping Bag page. At this time we offer in-store pickup from a single store location.

Once checkout is completed, you will receive your Order Confirmation email. This indicates that we have received your order and a store associate will begin gathering your items.

You can expect your order to be ready within 4 business hours. This may be the next day if your order was placed less than 4 hours from store closing. When all items have been gathered, you will receive your “Ready for Pickup” email letting you know you can head to your selected store.

When you arrive at the store, look for the sign labeled “Online Order Pickup” and press the button near the sign for assistance. Show your Photo ID and Ready for Pickup email on your mobile device (or printed).

Once you (or the pickup person you have designated) have obtained your order from the store, you will receive a final notification via email confirming your order has been picked up.

How do I know if an item is available for in-store pickup?

While shopping online, if the “FREE PICK UP IN-STORE” option is displayed above the “add to bag” button, the item you’ve selected is eligible for pickup at your selected store or other nearby stores. You may switch your selected store at any time while shopping online. A message will appear if your items are not available at the newly selected store.

Is there an extra cost for in-store pickup?

No, in-store pickup is a free, convenient service offered to SteinMart.com customers.

Will I be able to use online discounts and promotions with in-store pickup?

Yes, any promotion offered on SteinMart.com will be available to use with in-store pickup orders.

Within the same order, can I choose to have some items shipped and pick up the other items in-store?

Yes, as long as all items for in-store pickup are located at the same store location.

Can I pick up items from more than one store location?

No, at this time we offer in-store pickup from only one location per order. If you would like to pick up items from multiple store locations, please place a separate order for each location.

How will I know when my order is ready to be picked up?

You will receive a “Ready for Pickup” email, which indicates our store associate has gathered all of your items. You can expect your order to be ready within 4 business hours. This may be the next day if your order was placed less than 4 hours from store closing.

What if I don’t receive an email about my online order?

Can someone else pick up my order for me?

Yes! During checkout, you will have the option to designate an alternate person to pick up your order. You will need to provide an email address and phone number for the designated pickup person.

What do I need to bring with me to pick up my order?

Once you have received your Ready for Pickup email, you or your designated pickup person may head to the store with that email and a photo ID. No need to print it out, just show the Stein Mart associate the email on your phone.

What do I do once I arrive at the store?

How long will the store hold my order?

Customers will have 5 days from the time the order is marked as ready for pick up to collect their order. After that, the order will be returned to stock and a refund will be issued.

When will I be charged for my order?

You will be charged when all the items in your order have been gathered at your selected store and you have received your Ready for Pickup email.

How do I return an item?

You can return items to any Stein Mart location. Please bring your Ready for Pickup email on your mobile device (or printed) with you to the store. For complete details, see our full return policy.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. After you place your order and receive a Ready for Pickup email, simply contact the store to obtain a refund for your purchase.
