Q: How do I create an account?

A: Click on "Sign In" at the top of any page. Then select, New Shopper and fill in the required information.

Q: Where is my order?

A: There are 2 ways to check the status of your order:
If you are a registered user, you can check the status of your order any time by viewing your Order History. If you are not a registered user you can track your order here.

Q: Can I change or cancel my order?

A: After you have submitted your order, you may be able to cancel your order in its entirety; however, we process orders quickly to ensure that you receive them as soon as possible so you may be unable to change or cancel your order after it is placed. Once you receive your order in the mail, simply return any items you do not want by following our normal Return Process.

Q: Can I have my order gift boxed?

A: Unfortunately, we are not able to provide gift boxing at this time. However, we can always include a personalized message from you free of charge.

Q: What if I see a lower price after I buy something?

A: Stein Mart has partnered with Norton to provide you a Lowest Price Shopping Guarantee. If the price drops on an item within 30 days of purchase, you can submit a claim and Norton will pay you the difference in purchase price (up to $100). Instructions and details are provided here. Q: Do I have to pay tax on my order?

A: Stein Mart is required, by law, to charge sales tax to any order shipped to a state in which we have a store location. Further, in instances where we do not charge tax, you may still be required to submit taxes to your state and/or municipality.

Q: Why can’t I search for a certain brand I saw in a store?

A: Some of our values are so incredible that we can’t always share all of the details. In order to keep bringing you unbelievable deals, it’s important we protect our designer relationships. For certain brands, you may be able to SEE the BRAND if you browse the product within the category.

Q: How are shipping charges calculated?

A: Shipping charges are based on the total weight of your order, plus any shipping surcharges. We do not charge extra to ship to multiple addresses.

Q: Do you ship to PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses?

A: Yes. In these cases, we ship via the United States Postal Service (USPS). We do not offer expedited shipping to these addresses.

Q: When can I expect to receive my order?

A: Orders placed with Standard Shipping will ship within 2 business days and orders placed with an expedited shipping method will ship within 1 business day. Saturday, Sunday and holidays are not considered business days. Typically, an order will arrive to you within 3-7 business days. For more information, click here.

Q: How will my order be shipped?

A: We ship most orders via UPS. However, some orders may be delivered by the US Postal Service.

Q: What do I do if I want to return an item?

A: You can always return your online purchase to any Stein Mart store. If you would like to return it to the warehouse, follow the instructions on the packing slip (for more information, click here).

Online Account Managment

Q: How do I pay my bill online?

A: Visit You can pay your bill, review your recent transactions, and view your statement and balance. For help by phone, call customer service at 1-855-269-2139 for the Stein Mart credit card and 1-866-864-2149 for the Stein Mart Platinum Mastercard.

Q: How do I turn off paper statements?

A: Log in to Click on “Go Paperless”. You’ll start receiving monthly e-mail notifications when your statement is ready to be viewed online. Your Reward Certificates will be mailed to you in your monthly statements.

Elite Cardholders

Q: How do I keep my Elite Status?

A: As long as you continue to spend at least $500 at Stein Mart within a calendar year, your Elite Status is secure.

Q: Will my authorized users also be given Elite Status?

A: Yes. Your authorized users2 have also been upgraded. They will receive the same exclusive benefits that you do.

Q: Do I earn double points on my purchases outside of Stein Mart with my Stein Mart Elite Platinum Mastercard?

A: No. However, all Stein Mart Elite cardholders will continue to earn 1 point per $1 spent everywhere else Mastercard® is accepted**.

Stein Mart Reward Certificates

Q: How do I receive my Stein Mart Reward Certificate?

A: Each time you earn a certificate, we’ll include it in your monthly billing statement that you receive in the mail. Or, if you’re enrolled in online account management, your certificate will be mailed to you. Simply bring it with you on your next in store Stein Mart shopping spree and use it like cash. You can even combine it with coupons! Please note - even though your certificate is included on your online statement you must use the certificate that is mailed to you via the USPS.

Q: Can Reward Certificates be used towards all merchandise?

A: Yes, Reward Certificates can be redeemed in store toward any merchandise and used just like cash at Stein Mart when using your Stein Mart Credit Card. Also, Reward Certificates can be used in addition to any other offers or discounts in store when making a transaction.

Q: What if I have lost my Reward Certificate?

A: You can receive a replacement certificate by calling Stein Mart credit card customer service at 1-855-269-2139 for the Stein Mart Credit Card and 1-866-864-2149 for the Stein Mart Platinum Mastercard.

Q: Can Reward Certificates be used on-line?

A: No, Reward Certificates can only be used in store at this time.

Q: How long are my Reward Certificates valid?

A: Reward Certificates are valid for 3 months. The certificate expiration date is clearly marked on the front of all certificates.

Q: How do I get additional cards for family members?

A: You can add a family member as an authorized user by calling the toll-free number on the back of your card. There’s no charge for additional cards and you earn Reward points* for purchases made by an authorized user that’s been added to your account2. Your authorized users will also receive the same exclusive benefits you do!

*Subject to credit approval. 10% off account opening offer valid on first online purchase with your new credit card account. Excludes Stein Mart gift cards. In order to qualify for the Reward Certificate offer, you must make two Stein Mart or purchases with your Stein Mart credit card that posts to your account within the first 60 days of account opening. Q: Do you sell Gift Cards?

A: Yes. We sell physical Gift Cards online that will be shipped to you via USPS. We also sell electronic Gift Cards which will be delivered to you (or whomever you choose) via email.
Both options can be found by clicking on Gift Cards at the top or bottom of any page.

Q: Can I use my Gift Cards online?

A: Yes. Gift Cards and eGift Cards can be used both online and in stores.

Q: How do I check the balance of my Gift Card?

A: You can check your balance on the Gift Card page or by clicking here.

Q: How do I find a store near me?

A: You can click on Find a Store found at the top or bottom of any page and search using City, State or Zip. Once you select a store you can also get directions!

Q: How do I check store hours?

A: Follow the directions above to find a store. Once you select a store, you will have the option to see store hours and directions to the store.

Q: What is California Prop 65?

A: Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals.

Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water.

Proposition 65 requires California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987.

Proposition 65 became law in November 1986, when California voters approved it by a 63-37 percent margin. The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
