Always Free Returns In-Store
If you don’t love what you ordered online, we’ll be happy to accept your return in-store with a valid receipt within 60 days and issue a refund. We accept returns in all stores for all online orders except Vintage Items from LXRandCo and Fine Jewelry from Charles & Colvard. Vintage Chanel Items from What Goes Around Comes Around are FINAL SALE and may not be returned. For all other questions about returns instructions view our full Return Policy.
If you don't love what you bought online or in-store, we’re happy to accept your return at any Stein Mart store location with a valid receipt, online order invoice or order confirmation email. You can also return your online purchase via mail by simply using the pre-addressed shipping label included with your online order invoice.

You will need either a valid receipt, online order invoice or order confirmation email. Items being returned must be in their original, unused condition with merchandise tags attached. Merchandise returned within 60 days with a gift receipt will be refunded for the purchase price in the form of eCredit. After 60 days of the date of purchase the current selling price will be issued in the form of eCredit.
Your invoice conveniently includes a pre-addressed label (located at the bottom of the invoice) for you to use on your return package. Please be advised that only items purchased online may be returned via the mail. Just follow these simple steps and your return will be on its way!
Shipping charges will only be refunded if the item being returned is defective, damaged, or if there was a problem with proper order fulfillment.
We will issue your refund back to your original method of payment. Credit card purchases will be credited back to the account that was originally used. Gift Card and PayPal purchases will receive store credit. For orders paid with a physical Gift Card, a new card will be mailed to you in the amount of your refund. There is a 7-day waiting period for any refund on purchases made with a check.
Exchanges for online and in-store purchases may be made at any Stein Mart location with a valid receipt. If you would like to exchange an item purchased online via mail, please initiate a return on that item and then place a new order. If you would like to exchange an item you received as a gift, you may exchange it in-store for a new item. Gift returns made via mail using our pre-addressed return shipping label are credited to the original form of payment used for the order less any shipping and handling fees. Gift returns made in-store that are accompanied by a receipt or packing slip can be credited to the original form of payment or issued store credit.
Yes. A valid photo ID is required with any return not accompanied by a receipt. We will issue you a store credit for the current selling price of the item being returned.
We sincerely apologize for any issues with your order. If your item is received damaged or defective, or is the wrong item, color or size, please call Stein Mart Customer Care immediately at (888)783-4662 with your order number and shipping address ready.

Fine Jewelry items purchased in-store are eligible for return to any Stein Mart location within 30 days of purchase with the original receipt, original tags attached, in original packaging and in unused, unworn condition.
Fine Jewelry by Charles & Colvard purchased online should be mailed separately from any other items you wish to return within 30 days of purchase to:

Original tags must be attached, with the original packaging and in unused, unworn condition. Certified jewelry must be accompanied by all original documentation and certifications. All Fine Jewelry item returns require inspection and approval. Items from our Fine Jewelry Diamond Collection require additional validations with a diamond meter and production of a valid government identification by returner. Returns will be processed in the same tender as the original purchase.
